Collection: Tanto Knives

Tanto Blades - Tanto is the Japanese word for short blade.  A Tanto Blade is a knife style with an angled tip, think of a chisel point. Designs of chisel tips vary but the best designs give more strength to the tip.  The purpose of a Tanto blade is ease of penetration.  A Tanto Blade is usually not for slicing but thrusting.  A Tanto Blade is more complicated to sharpen due to the 2 bevel design and short chisel edge.
