Collection: H-1 Rustproof Blade Steel - H1 Myodo Low Carbon Steel

H-1 Stainless steel is manufactured in Japan by MYODO METAL CO., LTD.  H-1 is sometimes referred to as Myodo H-1. Basic structure: Very Low Carbon with 0.1% Nitrogen.
H-1 is often referred to as a real stainless steel and it's overriding advantage is that it (almost) does not rust and it's superb resistance to corrosion makes it ideal for diving knives. H1 has good edge holding and good wear resistance and will outperform other stainless steels in a marine context.  H1 has an additional property as a work hardening steel and will harden with usage without becoming brittle right up to 68 HRC which on the Hardness Rockwell C scale is very high.  Note that "out of the box" H1 steel is already very hard.
