MUV 1 Activated Carbon Fiber Filter. Unlike traditional activated carbon in powder or granular form. Activated Carbon Fibre is a fibrous absorbent that has 10x higher absorption than traditional activated carbon and gives you faster flow rates. Activated Carbon Fiber removes chemicals, chlorine, heavy metals, discoloration of water and improves taste. Filters up to 150 gallons.
MUV 2 Hollow Fiber Membrane Filter. Hollow Fiber membrane are tiny hollow tubes that look like straws. These tubes have a porous membrane wall and work through size exclusion. Clean water passes through the membrane whilst larger contaminants cannot. Hollow fiber blocks bacteria, eColi, Cholera, Typhoid, protozoa, Cryptosporidium and parasites including Giardia to 0.1 microns. Filters up to 100,000 gallons.
MUV 3 Nanalum The technology used in Nanalum was developed by NASA as a way to reuse waste water on the International Space Station. The Nanalum module has a strong positive electrostatic charge when wet and attracts and traps organic contaminants. Nanalum removes viruses, bacteria, protozoa, parasites, heavy metals and chemicals. Filters up to 90 gallons.
